Trauma-informed Yoga Therapy Training
For anyone looking to hold safer, therapeutic, more embodied healing space: Join Yoga Therapist Alex Bauermeister (she/her) and an amazing cohort of humans in this 35-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training. Designed for yoga teachers, current or aspiring yoga therapists, and clinical therapists looking to add embodied practices to their client sessions.
Over the course of 3 months, you will build your toolbox of trauma-sensitive, social justice-informed, and nervous system-responsive yoga teaching skills for individuals and groups. Alex will curate a foundational study of nervous systems and adaptive human responses to stress and trauma. Working within your unique scope of professional practice, you will gain strategies to support nervous system regulation and embodied resilience on the mat.
Schedule of 35 hours of training:
4 Saturdays 9/30, 10/14, 11/18, & 12/16 from 1pm - 8pm at JP Centre Yoga ( = 24 hrs)
1-5:30pm = in-person training
5:30-6:30pm = break
6:30-8pm = restorative yoga workshop that can be taken in-person, livestream, or via recording (available 48hrs)
Asynchronous / flexible learning hours (= 11 hrs)
Video training content, podcasts, articles, and recorded yoga classes supplement the in-person learning process each week from September through December.
Trainees put yoga therapy concepts into action based on your individual scope of professional practice (including self-practice, private yoga, group classes, or other individual client work).
Written reflections shared across a virtual learning platform support peer mentorship and create an opportunity for Alex to offer you personalized feedback on your learning.
