Alex Bauermeister is an ever-learning awareness and embodiment enthusiast with a focus on therapeutic and nervous-system-responsive yoga. She strives to hold safer space for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and for those who don't necessarily have positive associations with yoga and/or therapy. Alex draws on her experiences in the nonprofit and social change sphere to help yoga leaders and organizations get more aligned with the core values of yoga and social justice, including healing-centered, trauma-inclusive, and anti-oppressive practices. She provides direct consultation and organizational support to yoga studios, and serves on the leadership team of Yoga Diversity Initiative (YDI).
