35-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training

Fall 2024 at JP Centre Yoga with Alex Bauermeister

For anyone looking to hold safer, therapeutic, more embodied healing space: Join Yoga Therapist and licensed clinical social worker Alex Bauermeister (she/her) and an amazing cohort of humans in this 35-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training. Designed for yoga teachers, current or aspiring yoga therapists, clinical therapists, and other professional providers looking to add therapeutic, embodied practices to their client sessions.

Part 1: Trauma-Informed Foundations Training
(18hrs, 4 Thursdays 4:30-8pm ET or via recording, Sept. 19 - Oct. 10)
Part 2: Yoga Therapy Immersion
(17hrs, Oct. 18-20, in-person at JP Centre Yoga Boston)

Over the course of 35 hours, you will build your toolbox of trauma-informed and nervous-system-responsive embodiment skills for individuals and groups. During Part 1, Alex will curate a foundational study of nervous systems, adaptive human responses to stress and trauma, and best practices in trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness. During Part 2, trainees will be immersed in yoga therapy skills practice, partner exchanges, deep embodied learning, self-study, and discussion. Part 1 focuses on education via concepts and information, while Part 2 focuses more on experiential, embodied learning. Working within your unique scope of professional practice, you will gain strategies to support nervous system regulation and embodied resilience, on and off the yoga mat.
